Digital X-rays
X-ray technology has come a long way over the years, and now it’s even gone digital! Digital x-rays are safer than traditional x-rays as they produce up to 90% less radiation, protecting you and our team. Digital x-rays can be taken much faster, so there’s less room for error and you don’t have to worry about sitting perfectly still for several minutes. They can also be taken right from the dental chair so you don’t have to get up, and we can view them almost instantly on the screen together.
Intraoral Cameras
In the past, we would use the magic of sight and the help of a tiny dental mirror to peer around corners and try to see what was going on in your mouth. Not an easy task. Thankfully, we now have intraoral cameras that give us high-resolution images that can be significantly magnified so we can detect disease and decay sooner than ever before. Intraoral cameras also allow you to see what we see so you know exactly what we’re talking about and have a better understanding of your oral health and treatment needs.
Oral Cancer Screenings
When only a small percentage of dentists in the US actually screen for oral cancer, you’ll be happy to know we not only provide regular screenings, but we also use advanced screening technology. With this small hand-held device, we are able to illuminate cell and tissue abnormalities that would go undetected by the naked eye. This device uses a combination of all three multi-spectral wavelengths to provide more visual information and increased confidence in oral cancer screenings, so you can have peace of mind.
