How does Invisalign work?
You’ve probably already heard about Invisalign, but let us walk you through the details. The fine folks at Invisalign are always making improvements to their materials and technology to provide faster, more comfortable treatments with more predictable outcomes.
Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic aligners that you’ll wear for 20-22 hours a day to apply pressure and gradually shift teeth into their desired position. Based on your custom treatment plan, you will switch to a new set of aligners every week or every two weeks, and schedule check-ups with Dr. Patel every six weeks (may vary) to monitor your progress. With Invisalign, we can complete most cases with average treatment times of 12-24 months!

If you’re interested in straightening you or your teen’s smile with Invisalign, we would love to help! The process begins with a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Patel to determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign. If so, we will take intraoral and extraoral photos as well as quick and easy impressions of your teeth. We will then send your photos and impressions off to our friends at the Invisalign lab. Dr. Patel will be able to create and finalize a custom treatment plan just for you. Once approved by you, your aligners will be created, and you’ll be on your way to a straight, beautiful smile before you can say, “aaaahhhh.”
